In order to promote cultural exchange between BiH and Japan, the City of Sarajevo, the Embassy of Japan in BiH, and the Japanese non-governmental organization Ipil-Ipil no Kai organized a cultural exchange day called the Japanese Cherry Festival ("Sakura Matsuri")
