The reception at Turkish Embassy
The reception, in which female audience had the opportunity to taste the specialties of Turkish cuisine and listen to some songs in Turkish and Bosnian, had a noble purpose.
At the appeal of the Breast Cancer Society, the wife of Haldun Koc, Turkish ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pinar Koc decided to use today's admission as an opportunity to launch a project for the treatment of breast cancer patients.
Pinar Koc said in AA statement that this is her second year in BiH and that she is happy to try to strengthen the relations between B&H and Turkey through various cultural activities.
"We got an appeal from the Breast Cancer Society. We will be very happy to help them. We will be very fortunate if our present guests help this association and if our reception is a reason to start such a humanitarian project, "Koc said.
Recalling that, after having accompanied the tea with guests, there was a sort of a fasion show where traditional costumes from some parts of B&H were presented. Koc said traditional clothing was one of the indicators of the common past, and stated that wives of diplomats from Japan, Brazil, Iran and Great Britain for the first time had a chance to see what kind of clothes were worn earlier in this area.
In cooperation with the Turkish Embassy members of Baščaršija provided music and fashion cultural program.
Beside wives of foreign diplomats, wives of Bosnias diplomats attended the reception too.
